YK&DK Academy
I decided to start YK&DK Academy after struggling to secure interviews once COVID changed the job market. Before the pandemic, many people were unfamiliar with work‑from‑home opportunities, so the competition felt much lighter. It was easier to stand out when fewer applicants were fighting for the same roles. After COVID, the number of people applying for remote jobs increased dramatically. What once felt like one hundred applicants suddenly felt more like one thousand.
As the competition grew, I realized I needed to rethink my path. The job market no longer offered the same opportunities it once did, and waiting for a callback became discouraging. I knew I had skills that could be used in a more meaningful way. Instead of continuing to struggle, I decided to take control of my future. That decision pushed me toward entrepreneurship.
Starting my own business became the most logical step forward. I wanted to create something that allowed me to use my strengths while helping others at the same time. Building a business meant I no longer had to rely on unpredictable job openings. It also gave me the freedom to shape my own career path. That’s how the idea for YK&DK Academy began to take form.
I brought together the skills I had developed over the years to build something purposeful. My background in social media gave me insight into how businesses grow online. My experience in web design and visual creation helped me understand how to build strong digital identities. I also had a foundation in education, which shaped how I teach and support others. All of these pieces worked together to create a unique direction for my business.
With these combined strengths, I decided to build a business school that offered more than just information. I wanted to create a place where people could learn, grow, and build their brands with confidence. YK&DK Academy became a space where education, design, and digital strategy come together. My goal is to help others succeed in ways I once struggled to achieve. This academy represents both my journey and my commitment to supporting others on theirs.
